If you use MovableType and work on Windows clients, you should pull down MovablePoster. I am ecstatic because it:

- Has a rich client UI using .NET
- Supports basic formatting of entries
- Works as a plug-in for NewsGator in Outlook

NewsGator - the news aggregator for Outlook

There were a few tricks to getting it installed along with NewsGator properly:

1. Install the .NET 1.1 update (available from Windows Update) first.

2. NewsGator installed without any problem for me. In the NewsGator folder under Program Files, create a folder called “Plugins”.

3. When installing MovablePoster, choose Custom and make sure the path to install plugins to matches the one you created.

4. Make sure you can run MP standalone after installation.

5. Run NewsGator in Outlook and check the options -> Posting and you should see MP in a pulldown menu. If not, go back and make sure the paths are correct and that the plug-in files are copied to it.

There are some additional posts on this in the MP support at http://www.mattberther.com/movableposter/.
